Reception Admissions September 2021
We are delighted to share that you can now apply for a place in our Reception cohort for September 2021 at Sutton Park Primary School. We are a two-form entry primary school and we have 60 places available for our Reception intake.
Applications for Sutton Park Primary School are made directly to the Education Authority. You should receive an application pack in the autumn from Birmingham City Council, entitled 'How to Start Your Child at School in Birmingham'.

The national closing date for applications is (11:59pm) 15th January 2021. The national offer day for Reception admissions is 16th April 2021.
Virtual open events
We understand that you may want to find out more about Sutton Park Primary and all that we have to offer your child. To reflect the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and the current measures imposed nationally, we will be hosting a series of virtual engagement events in place of our usual Open Days.
Whilst this is disappointing - as we were hoping to meet with you all face to face - we must ensure as a school that we are adhering to all local authority guidance in order to keep everyone safe and well.
Sutton Park Primary School (as part of the Prince Albert Community Trust) remains unwavering in its commitment to providing opportunities for you to ask any questions you may have about our school and what we can offer your child.
Our virtual open events will be hosted by myself and will provide you with more information about our school, our EYFS offer, our ethos and our core values. The event will also be an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have. Our events will be taking place on:
- Wednesday 25th November at 5:00pm (via Microsoft Teams)
- Wednesday 6th January at 10:00am (via Microsoft Teams)
- Wednesday 6th January at 6:00pm (via Microsoft Teams)

In order to apply for an in-year place you will need to collect an application form from the main reception desk.
The closing date for primary school applications for a place in a Reception class for September 2021 is 15th January 2021. Offers will be made on 16th April 2021.
Parents can apply for a place in the Autumn of the year before their child turns 4 years of age.
