We are thrilled to announce that Sutton Park Primary has been selected by the Department for Education (DFE) to receive a school rebuild or substantial redevelopment works to its premises. Sutton Park Primary is one of 400 schools selected over the last two years as part of the school rebuilding programme.
PACT have been working extensively with our school leaders on the bid which was submitted in spring 2022. We are awaiting exact details on the scope of the work and are incredibly excited about the opportunity that the new facilities will bring.
Head of School, Lucy Middleton was thrilled with the announcement and said “The news that our school has been successful in its application for a rebuild is a fantastic start to 2023 for Sutton Park Primary. Our pupils deserve the highest standard of education, and we strive to ensure they get the best opportunities whilst in our care. A new, improved school building will elevate this further, ensuring Sutton Park continues to grow from strength to strength.”
Sajid Gulzar, CEO of Prince Albert Community Trust said “This is wonderful news for the community of Sutton Park Primary, our children deserve the very best facilities for their education, and we are thrilled to have been selected. Our estates team have worked extensively on putting this bid together and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them for their work in securing the new build.”
Andrew Mitchell MP, Conservative for Sutton Coldfield visited Sutton Park Primary on Friday 6th January and said, “It’s great news for a school that is on the up and up that they will also now get a significant rebuilding programme to modernise and enhance a school that has made a significant fresh start.”
We look forward to updating you with further details about this project in due course once we have received additional information from the DFE.
