NHS Guidance for Coughs/Colds

Dear Parents,

We have been asked by the NHS to share the following information regarding respiratory viruses in children. If you have any concerns over your child’s health, please follow the advice in the leaflets provided below.

EYFS Transition - September 2021

We are really looking forward to welcoming our Nursery and Reeption pupils into the Sutton Park Primary family. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we haven't been able to host our usual transition in the summer term. The EYFS team have made some short videos to introduce themselves.

Introducing ParentPay

We are pleased to announce that you will be able to pay online for items such as dinner money, school trips and uniform, using a secure website called ParentPay. ParentPay is replacing School Money. ParentPay will be our only method of making payments to school.

Half Term Free School Meal Vouchers

In order to continue to support eligible parents and pupils with access to free school meals (FSM) during the February half term, Birmingham City Council have provided a one-off supermarket eVoucher for each eligible pupil in Reception to Year 6. Birmingham City Council have provided these voucher codes which can be redeemed online for a range of supermarkets.

If you are eligible and have received a text message from school with your digital eVoucher cheque, please follow these steps to order your supermarket eVoucher:

Birmingham Mobile Library

  • Due to coronavirus the Birmingham Mobile Library Service is currently closed.
  • If you still have books out on loan please keep them until libraries re-open.
  • You will not get fined for late books during this period.

Whilst you cannot access physical books you can borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines, eNewspapers and eComics through the library service. You need to be a library member (for eBooks you also need to live in Birmingham). If you are not already a library member you can self-register on-line first.

Alternative FSM provision w/c 25th January 2021

During this current period of school closure, we are now pleased to be able to offer eligible parents and pupils access to free school meals by supplying supermarket eGift cards, that can be spent locally to you. The DfE have funded these eGift cards as part of a national scheme. You will be able to choose which supermarket you would like an eGift card for including Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and more.

Eligible families will be receiving their eCode via email w/c 25th January 2021 to provide lunch time meals for three weeks until half term.
